Good to hear that it's running well. It's looking sharp too..

Thnx, the "running well" is thanx to you Luke. I gained 80% of my knowledge on this engine from you. Everything I changed, from your direction, noticably smoothed the ride out.

So after spending the summer with the GTX I’ve been able to make it a proper running car. Electrical drain is gone. Shane found a wrong relay causing the problem. We were able to confirm this with a quick call to Jesse for him to check his GTX. Done, problem solved. I figured the clutch was looking like it needed a replacement. Took it to Dewey and he kept me from spending the money on the clutch and found it needed a shift bushing kit and linkage arms. He took care of the leaky engine and gave it a new timing belt and took care of rear breaks and bearings. Really appreciate the help I’ve been given on this car. I’ve continued with taking care of cosmetics and problems with the cluster. Really like this car. Love the sound and feel of the 16 valve engine. I’m fine with the weird ever changing morning grumpy start ups of the 16 valve. Doesn’t take too much till it smooths out. I usually feel the same way when I get up in the morning. I have set it up for winter. Didn't think I’d want to run it in the winter but its spent every winter of its life on Alberta Highways so one more in my hands will be fine. Teardrops with winters on it ready to go now. Still looks good but love how the Keskins from Matt Richardson really transformed the look of this car. My favourite touch to this car is its kamei eyebrow spoiler Jesse was over generous enough to send my way. Heres a couple photos taken by Vieweger a month back.

If everything goes as planned another car will take its daily drive place next year and I'll start on taking this seemingly good looking body to the next step. 6-7 years ago I got into mk2's as I was looking to find a car netsalgic of the time when I started driving. I wanted this car to remain with me till the end. Dont know what the hell happened but ran through a whole pile of them. Life has settled and this GTX showed up. In my mind the perfect one to keep. It has everything. The 4 door sedan that was always my favorite. Big bumpers which was initially what I wanted. I love small bumper but they can both be done right. A great color thats more timeless than a fad and its reletively Stock except for the things I wanted added.
