Newbie fitment questions!! Help a guy out!

Postby 403lowlow » March 30th, 2014, 6:00 am

Hey guys new member here. Ive been looking into putting wire wheels on my 83 jetta. I cant seem to find any fwd offset wheels. Im wondering if i can get away with a staggered offset, with standard offset 13x7 fronts and negative offset 13x7 rears? Or if im going to need to find the fwd all around?
It would really help a guy out!

To be honest i dont quite know yet, im looking at the rims on www.ogrimsdirect.com or something like that but they dont give an et number. They just have the wheels availible in a standard and negative offset. Im waiting for a reply on actual numbers. More or less im just wondering if i can get away with the standards in general and if i can , if staggering would also be an option.

I had 13X8 ET0 with stretched 175/50/13. They only looked somewhat ok because of the stretch. They had a lot of poke Tires are hard to find in lower profiles for 13's now too. With a 13x7 a 175 width will give no stretch really which doesn't let you run an aggressive ET at all. I ran a 10mm spacer so ET-10. Might work since your wheel has 1" less width too.

Best way is a good ol test fit.
