50/175/13's

Postby Kane » March 4th, 2012, 10:49 pm

So sumi's are discontinued. And no other tires in a 50/175/13 seem to be distributed through north america. I have found a few on ebay UK and other uk/eurpoean sources online. But prices are already almost doubled and there is shipping on top of that.

Company's that still make that size i have found are-
-contential
-dunlop
-fulda

I also found golf cart tires lol.

Might have to change sizes but 13's look to damn good on mk1's!

Yea I keep going back and forth to switch it up to 15's. To bad there isn't more rubber for 14's too because I got some 10 holes that would look good widened too.

The golf cart tires are 30/205/13's. They are 1/2"--1" smaller in diameter then the 50/175/13's. And they are DOT but they said not suited for a trailer going hwy speeds so i don't think they would work.

I would like to see them stretched out on 13x8's and slammed on a mk1 though just for shits and gigs.

alot of guys run the golf cart tires on mini's, that being said a mini is alot lighter then a rabbit.

I think in time someone will import a bunch, there is too big of a niche market to not have supplier in N/A I would figure.

Horsepower is like F.U.C.K. buddies.. you want as many as possible, for as cheap as possible, with very few people knowing how many you actually have.

Those tires are too big IMO. I like the itty bitty ones haha. I'll probably rock 13's for a bit this season then source some new wheels
