mk2 brake swap.

Postby DeleriousZ » July 11th, 2014, 3:46 am

Time to bust out the spoonfeder because I would like some guidance lol.

I have a full 5x100 swap from a 12v b3 passat that came with my mk2, and I'm wondering if the front calipers (or calipers and carriers) will fit onto the front? I'd have to go with a different rotor, I think g60's are 4x100 and 280x22 sized.

For the rears I've currently got drums, is there anything from the passat stuff i can use to convert the rears to disc as well? I've read that you need different ebrake cables as well, something about late 16v cables to go with any kind of disc conversion?

(I don't want to swap to 5x100 as I already have a good set of 4x100 wheels)

From what I understand. The calipers and carriers will bolt up to the nuckles. All the rear gear is a direct swap.. if you are going to 11" aka 280mm new disc's are required from a raddo or passat syncro.. I have this swap done on my non syncro b3 and I joke that it will do stoppies, cuz It stops so good..
