This is what I did. Took me a while to actually get around to it but was worth it. I didn't wan't to damage my GTX interior, I wanted a good location that wasnt in the way of anything I use and I wanted it to look decent not to mention work fucking awesome!

I took a stainless steel mug, an exhaust clamp and my beginners welding skills and took to fabricating a cup holder that screwed to the handle on the drivers door. this attaches to the handle only. Does not touch the door card and is easily put back to stock by replacing the door handle which are easy to replace. heres some pics. I covered it in matt back vinyl after to make it disapear into the interior more. Trust me when I say its perfect. It doesnt splash when you shut the door. its solid enough to rest my knee against when i put my foot flat on the floor and it fit a stanleys one hand coffee mug perfect!

It could be cleaner but turned out so much better than I thought I'm in no rush to make a 2.0 version.

I used to have the ford cup holder in my dash, but your hand hits the bottom of the cups when your shifting some time. not a huge problem, way better then having to hold the cup yourself, just something to think about tho.
